Kaopapawai Waterhole gets very little rainfall; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is June. Summertime brings highs in the 50's to Kaopapawai Waterhole while overnight lows are typically in the 30's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's,       and overnight lows in the 30's for Kaopapawai Waterhole. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Kaopapawai Waterhole there are plenty of folks from Hilo. Klauea Gulch is a fine place to stop at nearby, and if you need a site to stay Sea Mountain is a perfect choice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Kau Desert Trail, and the peak of Puu Pili can be made out from Kaopapawai Waterhole. This lake is so wonderful. You should positively dedicate some time to                  Keakapulu Flat since you're here at Kaopapawai Waterhole, and do pay a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park while you're here at Kaopapawai Waterhole. Kaopapawai Waterhole is right by the Ainap Trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Pakoa Waterhole. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Kaopapawai Waterhole.
