Klauea Gulch is a perfect place to check out in the vicinity of Kaopapawai Waterhole, and don't leave Kaopapawai Waterhole without first going for a hike along the Maunaiki Trail. Here at Kaopapawai Waterhole you can distinguish Puu Pili, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Kaopapawai Waterhole; Ainap Trail is a pleasant local trail. At Kaopapawai Waterhole all through the days of summer highs are in       the 50's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Kaopapawai Waterhole dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Chalet Kilauea Collection, and Keakapulu Flat is a great place to stretch your legs a bit.
