     Kanaha Pond is near Kahului Harbor which is a picturesque site undeniably worth taking a look at, and if time allows, Haleakala National Park is a national park worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Time spent at Kahului Beach near Kanaha Pond is always fine, and Camp Olowalu is a pleasant local campground. This is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Mauoni is a lake close at hand, and a day at striking Paukukalo Beach close to Kanaha Pond is  
   a splendid thing to do.
What a site this is for outdoors people. If you need a place to stay The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui is a splendid choice, and Hosmer Grove Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Kanaha Pond. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 80's, and overnight lows in the 60's for Kanaha Pond. There are plenty of folks from Kahului-Wailuku
 
               here at Kanaha Pond; golf can be played at Lahaina Fil-Am Golf Club.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Kanaha Pond a wet site; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while June is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Waiale Reservoirs, and a splendid place to pop by close by is Kalialinui Gulch. Wailuku Guesthouse is a good spot to get some rest, and why not stop at Hobron Point also if you're here.
