If you like lakes and you're in this part of Hawaii you can check out Kalihi Reservoir. There's always Kaplama Basin to stop by in close proximity to Kalihi Reservoir, and a good site is Kalihi Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Halawa Trail, and if you want to hit the beach, Kahanamoku Beach is in the neighborhood. Dry warm beds await you at Aston At The Executive Centre Hotel, and Ala Wai Golf Course is a golf course nearby.

This lake is so wonderful. On a brilliant day it's a great idea to spend the day at Cresent Beach; Kunawai Spring is a great local attraction. Good hiking is available along the Castle Trail, and
you'll meet a lot of folks from Honolulu here. What a place this is for outdoors people. You get a fine sight of Puukapu from Kalihi Reservoir.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Kalihi Reservoir. For the period of the moonlight
hours it's mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 70's with winter lows in the 60's overnight here at Kalihi Reservoir. Kalihi Reservoir is a wet place that gets a lot of rain; most of the rain falls during November; the driest month is August.
