Alelele is a nice lake to visit. Alelele is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Alelele. Alelele is in the neighborhood of Awalau Gulch which is certainly worth checking out, and from Alelele you obtain a great vista of Piiholo.

| | Alelele through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 70's; night lows during the winter for Alelele tend to be in the 60's. Lots of people from Kahului-Wailuku come to Alelele, and don't leave Alelele without first paying a visit to Waiohiwi Falls. This lake is so wonderful. and Haleakala National Park is a very good spot to check out.
If the weather is great here at Alelele, you can go for a hike along the Kaup Trail, and nothing beats kicking back at Kaulahao. Going for a hike along the Halemauu
Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and near Alelele you discover a golf course called Pukalani Country Club. TropoHouse B&B is a fine spot to get some rest, and since you're here you can take a hike along
the Sliding Sands Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Hosmer Grove Campground is always a splendid experience, and an out of the ordinary thing to go to in the neighborhood of Alelele is Kamole Weir.
