Aaka Reservoir gets very little precipitation; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is June. Hikilei Valley is a wonderful place to spend some time at, and there's good hiking along the Mhihi Waialae Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places,       why not have a look at Waikoloi Reservoir next to Aaka Reservoir, and a fine nearby hotel is The Point at Poipu. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Aaka Reservoir, and the night is slightly colder of course, usually in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 80's, and overnight lows at Aaka Reservoir all through the wintertime frequently fall into the 60's. If you need a place to stay Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages is a good choice, and get dripping                  wet paddling on Hanalei. The Alakai Swamp Trail offers hiking at its best; on a pleasant day it's a wonderful idea to spend the day at Davidsons Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Nualolo Trail; on a gorgeous day you obtain a glorious view of Manienieula from Aaka Reservoir. Having a pleasant time at Aaka Reservoir is uncomplicated.
