The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do near Young Lake. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice, and not far from Young Lake you'll discover Hughes Lake which is a picturesque lake. All through the summer months at Young Lake highs are usually in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the       60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Young Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lake Blue Ridge Campground is always a great experience, and paddling on Cartecay River is so much fun. Young Lake is right by the Benton McKaye Trail; a perfect place nearby is Bushy Head Gap. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Great Smoky Mountains has to offer. The                  Tearbritches Trail offers hiking at its best, and the top of Bushy Head Mountain is easily made out from Young Lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Great Smoky Mountains is excellent! Hiking along the South Fork Trail is nice fun, and drift down the rapids of Cartecay River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Young Lake, for example Weehunt Lake; dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Of Blue Ridge. Young Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is October.
