Young Lake is a wet spot that gets lots of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. This is a pleasant area for people who like lakes. Hughes Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a great place to spend a night or two. Young Lake is located in the Great Smoky Mountains. Good       hiking is available along the Tearbritches Trail, and you get a fine view of Bushy Head Mountain from here. Having a fine time in the Great Smoky Mountains is painless. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to make out at Young Lake Dam next to Young Lake, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Hughes Lake is just a very short distance away. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Young Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer                  temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Young Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bushy Head Gap is near Young Lake and is a splendid site; if you come at the right time of year, Cartecay River offers some tremendous whitewater.
