A golf course next to Yates Lake is High Point Golf Course; you can take a little tour to Yates Lake Dam while you're here at Yates Lake. Take a little visit to Mill Creek if you're here at Yates Lake; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Ott Lake is just a very short distance away. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Yates Lake called the Bluff Trail, and at Yates Lake you       always meet someone from Chattanooga. The Skyuka Trail is a good hiking trail near Yates Lake, and a great location to camp here at Yates Lake is Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga West KOA. From Yates Lake you obtain a great panorama of Round Top, and Yates Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Look Out Mountain Koa Kampground is a great local campground. Chanticleer Inn is a great place to get some rest, and get drenched paddling on Rock Creek.                  All the outdoors enjoyable stuff close to Yates Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Dry warm beds await you at Trenton Days Inn. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Yates Lake rocks! It's always splendid to check out Phillips Spring, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bear Creek. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Yates Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Yates Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Yates Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most while October is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
