After a long day       outdoors Econo Lodge Dahlonega is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Black Mountain Trail. At Woody Lake Dam you can make out Abe Mountain; a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Blood Mountain Creek. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The high level of rain makes Woody Lake Dam a relatively wet site; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is                  the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
