Many people like to go to Woody Lake. A pleasant place to camp here at Woody Lake is Woody Gap Campground, and Abe Mountain is clearly visible from Woody Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are some good whitewater spots on Cooper Creek, and the Black Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close by. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Dahlonega is a magnificent choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Blood Mountain Creek offers some glorious whitewater. High temperatures at Woody Lake throughout the summer months are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. winter nights. Woody Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So many cool things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just astonishing. Lakes are such calm places, why not explore Eagles Nest Lake near Woody Lake, and if you crave
a little side journey, try Grassy Gap. This lake is so wonderful. Near Woody Lake you locate the Duncan Ridge Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Tunnel Cove is a glorious spot to explore while in the vicinity. Going for a hike
on the DeSoto Falls Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Dahlonega. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Woody Lake has it all. And that's not all you can do here
at Woody Lake. There are other sites here than Woody Lake, for example Dockery Lake, and why not camp at Dockery Lake Campground while you're here at Woody Lake. There's some flowing water close by, Burnett Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay, and wonderful water scenery is available at Woody Lake Dam near Woody Lake.
