Woody Lake is a lake worth visiting. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Dahlonega; the DeSoto Falls Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So much exciting stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just inspiring. Lakes are great; Dockery Lake is a lake that's near Woody Lake, and Tunnel Cove is an interesting place to visit while at Woody Lake. You're probably hooked on lakes, Woody Lake Dam is one

| | of those nearby. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Woody Lake has to offer, you can camp at Woody Gap Campground. And that's not all you can do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cooper Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot right next door to Woody Lake. outdoors. High temperatures at Woody Lake during the summer months are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through
the winter temperatures at Woody Lake descend into the 20's. Lots of precipitation falls at Woody Lake; most of the rain falls all through March; the driest month of the year is October. While you're here at Woody Lake you can take
a hike along the Black Mountain Trail, and the peak of Abe Mountain can be distinguished from Woody Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Blood Mountain Creek in the neighborhood of Woody Lake, and it's a
good idea to go to Burnett Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Grassy Gap is a good place to explore; not far from Woody Lake you get some fine water scenery at Woody Lake Dam. This place rules, just look at all the fun stuff to do
in the neighborhood of Woody Lake. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Dahlonega is a good choice, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Duncan Ridge Trail.
