Not far from Woodwards Pond you acquire some nice water scenery at Shaw Lake Dam. There's so much to do here at Woodwards Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Flynn's Inn Camping Village is a great place for that. If you get bored of Woodwards Pond, you could also take a look at close by Shaw Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Woodwards Pond has to offer,       you can camp at Fox Hollow Camp Ground. This lake is so wonderful. Jameson Inn Waynesboro is a great place to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Savannah River offers some wonderful whitewater. After a long day outdoors Best Western Executive Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and lots of people from Augusta-Richmond County come here. During the long summer days at Woodwards Pond temperatures are commonly in the 90's, and                  during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's while Woodwards Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Any time is a magnificent time at Woodwards Pond if you adore the outdoors. Applewood Golf Course is a nice golf course close by; why not a little side visit to Allen Branch.
