This lake is so wonderful. Old Federal Campground is a nice campground here, and a delightful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Winder. The high level of rainfall makes Winder Reservoir a pretty wet location; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is August. Winder Reservoir Dam is worth checking out while you're here, and Masseys Lake is a splendid lake close by.
