Stay the night at Turner Campsites, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Whitly Gap Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Willeford Pond, you'll find Dorsey Pond which is a pretty lake, and you can run the rapids of Little John Creek. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Willeford Pond get into the 80's, and through summer       nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Willeford Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a great adventure. A good nearby hotel is Days Inn Cleveland; you'll meet a lot of people from Cornelia here. This place, Willeford Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors fun stuff. The Raven Cliff Falls Trail                  is a glorious hiking trail next to Willeford Pond, and Dorsey Lake Dam is a picturesque location. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Dorsey Lake, and Rodeway Inn Helen is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Willeford Pond usually gets a great deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains rocks!
