Go to Wilkie if you want to go to a nice lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There's whitewater on Amicalola Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Cumming. Looking for a pleasant trip? Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is rather in the neighborhood of Wilkie, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Settingdown Creek. This lake is so wonderful.

| | There's good hiking along the Brookshire Creek Trail, and a lake nearby is Mashburn Mill Lake. Do take a look at Wilkie Dam since you're here at Wilkie; playing golf is lots of fun at Windermere Golf Club 1. Wilkie is a wet place that gets much rain; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. Johnsen Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and a glorious site to camp here at Wilkie is Twin Lakes Park. | |

This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for folks from Gainesville. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ATLANTA-CUMMING is a glorious choice, and why not camp at Sawnee Campground while you're
here at Wilkie. Throughout the summertime months at Wilkie highs are regularly in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's while Wilkie night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's.
