Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Wildlife Lake. There's whitewater on Little River - East Fork for all you adrenaline people; you could always look at Jenkins Gap. This lake is so wonderful. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Allen Creek, and obviously Lowe Branch       is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at. A good location to camp here at Wildlife Lake is James H. Floyd State Park, and the fine folks of Summerville like to hang out nearby. Wildlife Lake gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A short trip to Marble Spring is always worthwhile, and Wildlife Lake Dam is an interesting thing to                  check out. For the duration of the summer months at Wildlife Lake highs are generally in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Wildlife Lake tend to be in the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Express Inn Rome, and Upper Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. This lake is so wonderful.
