This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Sosby Pond is in close proximity to Whiten Pond, and Rice Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Sunset Campground is a perfect place to camp, and unsurprisingly, this is a good area for folks who like lakes, Thurmond Pond       is a lake in the neighborhood. All the water falling down from the sky makes Whiten Pond a wet place; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. Whiten Pond is a site with many visitors from Toccoa, and paddling on Nancy Town River is so much fun. Summertime highs at Whiten Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are                  normally in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Whiten Pond. Just can't get enough of Whiten Pond.
