Toccoa City Golf Course is a golf course right next door to Whispering Pines Lake, and while you're       here you can take a hike along the Bartram Trail. A splendid place for whitewater paddling close to Whispering Pines Lake is Big Panther Creek, and Ayers Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. The nice folks of Toccoa like to hang out close by, and Toccoa Days Inn is a good location to get some rest. For the duration of the summer at Whispering Pines Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during the night it cools                  down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 50's with temperatures at Whispering Pines Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. The high level of rainfall makes Whispering Pines Lake a pretty wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is regularly the driest month.
