Lafayette Golf Course is a delightful golf course close by, and do take a hike on the Bluff Trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Howard Lake; at Whaley       Lake you always meet someone from Chattanooga. This lake is so wonderful. Howard Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. For the period of the summertime here at Whaley Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 40's; nighttime lows at Whaley Lake throughout the wintertime typically plunge into the 20's. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Hardy Trail, and you can stay the night at Ringgold Koa Kampground. If you need a spot to stay Lafayette Days Inn is a delightful choice, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rock Creek.
