Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BREMEN is a tremendous location to get some rest, obviously you could also go to Camp Waco Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. West Lake generally gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest. West Lake is not far at all from Cedartown. John Tanner State Park is a wonderful local campground, and some nearby water includes Bush Creek.
West Lake is not the

only place close by, Bremen Reservoir is a close by lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort is a brilliant site to camp. For the period of the summer months at West Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at West Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. Any time is a brilliant time at
West Lake if you go for the outdoors. West Lake Dam is not far at all from West Lake, and The Lion Golf Club is a nice golf course close by.
This lake is so wonderful. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Whooping Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn And Suites Bremen.

Whooping Creek

... is no way to float a boat in this creek as it is only ankle deep 90% of the way. I have lived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but...
