In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Towaliga River; as expected, this is a pleasant neighborhood for people who like lakes, Hugh Steele Lake is a lake around here. some rest.
Camping at Weldon Pond is great fun, Heart of Georgia RV Park is a great local campground, also Weldon Pond Dam is worth going to while you're here.
