Parker Branch is a good spot to go to, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Rose Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Apalachee River, and a great spot to camp here at Welbrook Lake is Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area. There is a nice hiking trail close to Welbrook Lake called the Mounds Trail; why not go to Bells Lake Dam Two if you're here. Going for       a hike on the Falling Camp Trail is always a wonderful adventure; you'll meet a lot of people from Athens-Clarke County here. Welbrook Lake gets a great deal of water; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month of the year is September. This lake is so wonderful.
