Amicalola Creek Watershed Dam Number Four is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and Overstreet Lake is a glorious lake close by. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going for a hike on the Benton Mackaye Trail is always a perfect adventure, and there are other       places here than Wehunt Lake, for example Rome Kraft Company Lake. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Econo Lodge Dahlonega is a fine location to get some rest, and camping at Under the Hemlock is always a great experience. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in the vicinity of Wehunt Lake. A great site for whitewater paddling close to Wehunt Lake is Amicalola Creek, and let's not forget Gab Creek which is a stream that you                  may run into during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Best Western Dawson Village Inn, and camping is available at Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Wehunt Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Wehunt Lake. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
