This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Washburn Lake you obtain some great water scenery at Washburn Dam, and you're sure to encounter some nice folks from Macon here. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Gray, and Washburn       Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Juliette Dames Ferry Park is a perfect local campground. During the days of summer highs here at Washburn Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's with temperatures at Washburn Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Washburn Lake gets a good deal of water; throughout the month of March you get the most                  rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. If you're a golfer then a delightful close by course is Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course, and camping at Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground is always a glorious experience. A beautiful lake like Polands Lake in the neighborhood of Washburn Lake is a fine location to take a look at; obviously, all our national parks are great places to go to and Ocmulgee National Monument is no exception. This lake is so wonderful.
