Why not camp at Papillon Resort and RV Campground since you're here at Ware Lake; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wolf Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Ware Lake is near Ware Lake Dam which is a pretty spot unquestionably worth taking a look at; Snake River is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Ware Lake you'll most likely meet some folks from LaGrange, and if you came for an overnight stay Flat Creek Campground is a nice place to camp. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Ware Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ware Lake are in the 20's. Lake is a lake in close proximity, and if you need a place to stay Newnan-Days Inn is a great choice. Ware Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October
is when it's the driest. Be careful coming to Ware Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Enjoy a round of golf at Orchard Hills Golf Club not far from Ware Lake, and Davis Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to.

Whooping Creek
 | 12 miles away ...enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking.
