This is a magnificent neighborhood for people who like lakes. Ward Pond North is a lake nearby. All through the summertime months at Ward Lake South highs are frequently in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. During the winter highs are in the 50's while Ward Lake South overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. You don’t have to go far from Ward Lake South       to catch a glimpse of the water at Ward Lake South Dam, and Ashburn Days Inn is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Ward Lake South is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Holly Isles Campground is a tremendous local campground, and a great close by hotel is Super 8 Motel Ashburn. If you came to camp Southern Gates RV Park and Campground is a good site to do that, and there are plenty of people from Cordele here.
