A fine place to camp here at Walker Lakes is Interstate RV Center and Campground. Walker Lakes gets a large amount of water; through March this area sees the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Walker Lakes, you could also check out nearby Lakeside Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Ramada Plaza Hotel Macon.       Stone Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and Walker Lakes is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Tobesofkee Recreation Area is a tremendous local campground. Golf can be played at Bowden Golf Course, and as expected Boggy Branch flows through this vicinity. Don't leave Walker Lakes without first going for a hike along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Scottish Inns Macon Downtown is a fine choice. A cool spot                  to stop by right next door to Walker Lakes is Ocmulgee National Monument, and Ocmulgee National Monument is a brilliant spot close by. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The cheerful people of Macon like to hang out nearby, and if the weather is lovely, you get a wonderful vista of Lamar Mounds from Walker Lakes. Summer at Walker Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the overnight is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 60's.
