Walker Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Truitt-fulton is a pleasant place to camp, and enjoy a round of golf at College Park Municipal Golf Course. If time allows, Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a national park worth checking out, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. | |

For the period of the warm months highs here at Walker Lake get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Walker Lake are in the
20's.
Not far from Walker Lake you obtain some splendid water scenery at Walker Lake Dam; whitewater paddling is great on Chattahoochee River.
