You'll need more than a day to discover everything Walker Lake has to offer, you can camp at Little River Park. Stay the night at Lake Juliette Dames Ferry Park, and an attention-grabbing thing to have a look at near Walker Lake is Walker Dam. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Walker Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter brings highs       down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Walker Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Walker Lake is not far at all from Macon. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Ethridge Lake right next door to Walker Lake, and Little River is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Walker Lake gets lots of water; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's just                  no way somebody can get bored here at Walker Lake. Ocmulgee National Monument is a pleasant spot near Walker Lake; Days Inn Gray is a brilliant location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Twin Bridges Trail is always a magnificent adventure; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Macon East is a brilliant place to spend a night or two.
