Holiday Inn Express CARROLLTON is a splendid location to get some rest; a pretty lake like Thomas Lake A is a splendid site to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Walker Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's in close proximity to Walker Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Hampton Inn is a delightful choice. Whitewater paddling is great on Whooping Creek; Thomas Lake B is a good lake nearby. Yeah, come here to Walker Lake for a perfect time. Camping is available
at Flat Rock Campground, and get soaked paddling on Snake River.
Walker Lake usually gets much rain; all through March this area sees the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Walker Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Walker Lake temperatures

               dip to the 20's.
Camping at John Tanner State Park is always a great experience; unsurprisingly Indian Creek flows through this area.

Whooping Creek
...le deep 90% of the way. I have lived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking. Wait till summer and b...
