A tremendous place to camp here at Vfw Lake is Interstate RV Center and Campground, and at Vfw Lake Dam right next door to Vfw Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Bankston Lake is in close proximity, and you're sure to come across some cheerful folks from       Macon here. The high level of precipitation makes Vfw Lake a reasonably wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Oakview Golf Course is always a bliss, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do near Vfw Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Macon West; if you have time, Ocmulgee                  National Monument is a national park worth going to. Summertime highs at Vfw Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Vfw Lake through the winter usually dip into the 30's.
