All through the days of summer highs here at Vfw Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Vfw Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Vfw Lake is not far at all from Macon, and there are other places here than Vfw Lake, for example Bankston Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Vfw       Lake Dam is a striking site in the neighborhood of Vfw Lake; if you're here and you like golf, you can visit Oakview Golf Course. If you need a place to stay Macon-Days Inn West is a brilliant choice, and Vfw Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Tobesofkee Recreation Area is a fine place to camp nearby. Vfw Lake is a pretty wet place usually with a good deal of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain, and October is when it's the driest.                  Man, is there lots of cool things to do near Vfw Lake. Rodeway Inn Macon is a wonderful place to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Vfw Lake, you could have a look at Amason Branch, and obviously, all our national parks are brilliant places to stop at and Ocmulgee National Monument is no exception. Lakes?
