Summertime highs at Vaughter Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Vaughter Lake during the winter frequently sink into the 20's. Camping is available at Camp Otaki; get covered with water paddling on Broad River. If you need a site to stay Elberton-Days Inn is a great choice, and why not a little side tour to Carters       Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Vaughter Lake a wet site; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is September. Vaughter Lake Dam is a place that is close to Vaughter Lake, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Skull Shoal Creek. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Vaughter Lake you can play some golf at Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course, and a good location to camp here at Vaughter Lake is Pine-der-rosa                  Cabins and RV Rntl. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot.
