The high level of rain makes Vaughn Lake a rather wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. A great close by hotel is Hilton Garden Inn; you'll most likely meet some people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. During the warm months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Vaughn Lake, and during the night it cools down to       the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Vaughn Lake are in the 20's. The scenery at Vaughn Lake Dam near Vaughn Lake is stunning, and Vaughn Lake is a great place to camp, Jones RV Park is a great place. This lake is so wonderful. Twin Lakes Park is a splendid campground here, and get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Settingdown Creek. Going for a hike on the Brookshire Creek Trail is always a good adventure,                  and if you haven’t been to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Vaughn Lake.
