Vaughn Lake gets much water; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is October. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Vaughn Lake. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Annewakee River; Chism Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Super 8 Atlanta West/Douglasville is a magnificent place       to get some rest; camping at Vaughn Lake is good fun, Atlanta West Campgrounds is a good local campground. Some of the water nearby flows, like Gothards Creek, and Greystone Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Very magnificent water scenery is available at Vaughn Lake Dam in close proximity to Vaughn Lake. The great folks of Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta like to hang out close by, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sweetwater Creek. Summertime at                  Vaughn Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Vaughn Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
