A brilliant nearby hotel is Quality Inn Douglasville, and Sweetwater Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. This place is excellent, just check out all the amusing stuff to do next to Vaughn Lake. Why not visit Vaughn Lake Dam if you're here, and lakes are such calm sites, why not visit Shues Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Atlanta-Days Inn Douglasville/Fairburn Road is a delightful spot to get some rest,       and you'll meet a lot of folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. During the summertime at Vaughn Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Vaughn Lake. Vaughn Lake is a relatively wet place mostly with a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most                  rain while October is commonly the driest month. Some of the water nearby flows, like Gothards Creek; Penns Lake is a great lake nearby. There's so much to do here at Vaughn Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sweetwater Creek State Park is a brilliant spot for that, and a round of golf at nearby Greystone Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful.
