This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Valley Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Truitt-fulton is a great place for that; you'll probably meet some people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. Valley Lakes is great enough to spend       more than a day at, South Oaks Manufactured Home is a great local campground; a wonderful lake like Dixie Lakes is a great site to go to. What a site this is for outdoors people. Annewakee River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by, and Valley Lake Number 2 is a brilliant lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Wolf Creek Golf Course is a golf                  course nearby. High temperatures at Valley Lakes through the months of summer are in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Valley Lakes drop into the 20's. Valley Lakes generally gets a lot of rain; March is when you get the most rain here; October on the other hand is the driest.
