Upper Elders Dam has brilliant water scenery and it's close to Upper Elders Lake, and you can run the rapids of Rose Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some fine folks from Athens-Clarke County here, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail. This place rocks, just check out all the exciting stuff to do near Upper Elders Lake. On a tremendous day at       Upper Elders Lake you can take a hike along the Falling Camp Trail, and getting to Big Creek from Upper Elders Lake is easy. Summertime highs at Upper Elders Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's; night lows at Upper Elders Lake throughout the winter usually descend into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Pine Lake RV Campground is always a tremendous                  experience. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Mounds Trail, and Apalachee River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. A good close by hotel is Butler Motor Inn, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Elders Lakes is just a very short distance away. Upper Elders Lake regularly gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; September meanwhile is the driest month.
