Hilton Garden Inn Athens Downtown is a tremendous site to get some rest, and Upper Elders Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Lake RV Campground is a perfect local campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Upper Elders Lake while night lows are generally in the 60's. All through the winter the       highs are commonly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Upper Elders Lake are in the 30's. Much rainfall falls at Upper Elders Lake; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and September is when it's the driest. Yeah, come here to Upper Elders Lake for a great time. There's great hiking along the Falling Camp Trail, and not far from Upper Elders Lake you'll hit upon Elders Lakes which is a beautiful lake. Get yourself into a kayak                  and hit Rose Creek, and if you came to camp Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a great site to do that. Go for a hike on the Mounds Trail. Lakes? Sure, Lower Elders Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn ATHENS-UNIVERSITY AREA is a great choice, and don't leave Upper Elders Lake without first going for a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
