Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Ulmers Pond while nighttime lows are typically in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Ulmers Pond. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do right next door to Ulmers Pond. Paddling on Turket Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Alapahoochee       River Grand Bay Canal); this is a popular place for people from Valdosta. If you get bored of Ulmers Pond, you could also visit close by Registers Pool, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Valdosta. If you came for an overnight stay River Park RV Park is a glorious place to camp, and Guesthouse Valdosta is a fine spot to get some rest. Paradise Island Fishing is a pleasant local campground, and Ulmers Pond is not the only site nearby, Dashers Lake is a nearby                  lake.
