Twin Lakes West sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. At Twin Lakes West throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's; the overnight is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's; night lows through the wintertime for Twin Lakes       West tend to be in the 20's. Lewis Lake is nearby, and a tremendous site to camp here at Twin Lakes West is Jenny's Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, obviously you could also stop by Twin Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all. Going for a hike on the Whitly                  Gap Trail is always a perfect adventure, and if you're popping by from Gainesville, you won't be the only one. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Twin Lakes West. Camping is available at Brookside Camp Ground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Tesnatee Creek. So much enjoyable stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just extraordinary. Go for a hike on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail; if you're here and you like golf, you can visit Innsbruck Resort & Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Helan, and get dripping wet paddling on Chestatee River. Cleveland Days Inn is a great site to get some rest. Twin Lakes West is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
