    A visit to Twin Lakes is always a good idea. Any time is a splendid time at Twin Lakes if you go for the outdoors. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Panther Creek, and do take a hike on the Chattooga Trail. Twin Lakes ordinarily gets much precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful.
For the duration of the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Twin Lakes. For
 
   the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Twin Lakes. After a long day outdoors Toccoa Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, and a quick journey to Bear Creek is absolutely a splendid idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Knights Inn Toccoa is a tremendous choice; a round of golf at nearby Toccoa City Golf Course  
               is a fine way to kill some time.
There's so much to do here at Twin Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Toccoa Rv Park & Campground is a brilliant spot for that, and you're almost certainly keen on lakes, Ayers Pond is one of those nearby. Float down the rapids of Brasstown Creek in a kayak; Twin Lakes is not far at all from Toccoa. Twin Lakes is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Campground is a wonderful local campground; possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Reservoir 11 is just a very short distance away.

Stonecypher Lake
...on the farm lands of Palmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's.
The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed.
The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates.
Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings.
Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.

Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??...
