    Why not stop by Twin Lakes if you're passing through these parts. This place, Twin Lakes, it completely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Lakes are such serene places, why not check out Elders Lakes in the neighborhood of Twin Lakes, and close by you come across the Scull Shoals Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Don't forget to take a fine little journey to Goulding Creek; if you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Athens is a pleasant choice. You're sure  
   to encounter some good folks from Athens-Clarke County here; Holiday Inn Athens,Ga is a nice spot to get some rest.
All through the long summer days at Twin Lakes highs are typically in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Twin Lakes sink into the 30's. Twin Lakes is a pretty wet place regularly with much precipitation; March
 
               is the month that gets the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Apalachee River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Twin Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Pine Lake RV Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. The Mounds Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close to Twin Lakes, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rose Creek. Twin Lakes is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a magnificent location to camp nearby, and there's some exciting stuff to catch a sight of at Lake Oglethorpe Dam near Twin Lakes. Thompson Lake is a glorious lake near Twin Lakes, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Falling Camp Trail.
