    Many people like to go to Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Apalachee River is so much fun; whitewater paddling is perfect on Rose Creek. So much amusing stuff to do at Twin Lakes, so little time. Lots of people from Athens-Clarke County come to Twin Lakes, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Twin Lakes; Falling Camp Trail is a glorious local trail. It's a fine idea to explore Goulding Creek, it's close to Twin Lakes; if you need a site  
   to stay Holiday Inn Athens,Ga is a good choice.
The Mounds Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not camp at Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area since you're here at Twin Lakes. If you get bored of Twin Lakes, you could also take a look at close by Lake Oglethorpe; after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Athens is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Scull Shoals Trail; if
 
               you came for an overnight stay Pine Lake RV Campground is a splendid site to camp.
Twin Lakes sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Why not stop by Lake Oglethorpe Dam while you're here, and a lake close by is Thompson Lake. High temperatures at Twin Lakes throughout the summertime months are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Twin Lakes tend to be in the 30's.
