After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Cumming is a good site to spend a night or two, and Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a pleasant site nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Sawnee Campground if you're here at Twin Lakes; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Thalley Creek. Camping is available at Twin Lakes Park; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked,       you can always go whitewater paddling on Settingdown Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Twin Lakes a wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. And that's not all you can do here at Twin Lakes. Amicalola Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Brookshire Creek Trail. Through the long summer days                  highs here at Twin Lakes get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Twin Lakes are in the 20's.
