This lake is so wonderful. A perfect close by hotel is Drury Inn Suites Atlanta NW, and if you get bored of Turtle Lake you could also take a look at close by Thompson Lake. Camping is available at La Siesta RV Park, and you're sure to encounter some good folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. During the long summer days highs here at Turtle Lake       reach the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Turtle Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Sope Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby; for you golfers we recommend close by North Fulton Golf Course. All the outdoors exciting stuff next to Turtle Lake will keep you coming back time and again.
