Lakes? Sure, Bull Sluice Lake is nearby, and you can stay the night at Marietta Campground. Sope Creek is a nice whitewater spot close to Turtle Lake, and unsurprisingly, all our national parks are glorious locations to go to and Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is no exception.
