Turk Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Lumber Jacks Camping Resort is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Why not go to Turk Lake Dam since you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Commerce. At Turk Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The wintertime       comes with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Turk Lake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Reservoir 44 is a nearby lake that you could go to, and glide down the rapids of Nancy Town River in a kayak. While you're here at Turk Lake, you could also go to gorgeous Harden Lake, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COMMERCE-TANGER OUTLETS is a fine choice. A good location                  to camp here at Turk Lake is Commerce Koa Kampground; get wet paddling on North Oconee River.
