Treadwell Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Do pay a visit to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail if you're here at Treadwell Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on South River. This lake is so wonderful. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Ocmulgee River Trail. Lakes are magnificent; Bailey Lake is a lake that's near Treadwell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COVINGTON; Alcovy River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Campground is a good site to camp nearby. Take a hike on the Kinnard Horse Trail; Sardis Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Treadwell Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; March is the wettest month
with most rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month. Summer at Treadwell Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's,
and night lows in the 30's for Treadwell Lake. After a long day outdoors Days Inn At Jackson is a good place to spend a night or two, also Treadwell Lake Dam is worth visiting since you're here.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
