The beauty of Toombs Lake attracts many people from all around. A visit to Watson Spring will fill your spirit with wonderful feelings, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Toombs Lake; Scull Shoals Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Jameson Inn Greensboro is a good spot to get some rest, and the Mounds Trail offers hiking at its best. Toombs Lake Dam is a pretty site close to Toombs Lake. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Toombs Lake temperatures sink to the 30's. Area. A brilliant location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Toombs Lake is Apalachee River. Do stop at Ashley Lake in the vicinity of Toombs Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and you can run the rapids of Rose Creek. Why
not visit close by Ellison Creek since you're here at Toombs Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Athens-Clarke County here. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Toombs Lake. You'll find a stunning lake called Bear Lake near Toombs Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Falling Camp Trail.
