An out of the ordinary thing to go to in the neighborhood of Toombs Lake is Toombs Lake Dam, and going for a hike on the Mounds Trail is always a pleasant adventure. A lovely lake like Bear Lake near Toombs Lake is a nice place to explore; Rose Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Toombs Lake is a pretty wet place generally with a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most; September

a look at Watson Spring. Summertime highs at Toombs Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Toombs Lake dipping down into
