This lake is so wonderful. Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) is a tremendous whitewater spot in close proximity to Toms Pond, and Eagles Roost Campground is a nice campground nearby. If you need a location to stay Quality Inn Lake Park is a glorious choice, and Holiday Campground is a perfect local campground.       Toms Pond gets a lot of water; July is the month that gets the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. There are other spots here than Toms Pond, for example Bonet Lake, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Valdosta. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Toms Pond while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 60's while the cold winter nights at                  Toms Pond are in the 30's. Be careful coming to Toms Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again.
