Why not stop by Lake Tom if you're passing through these parts. Camping at Rome-floyd County Recreation is always a great experience; dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Express Inn. Conasauga Dam. Lakes? Sure, Lake Conasauga is in close proximity. Lake Tom is a wet location that gets a great deal of rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is mostly the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to Lake Tom you'll meet some people from Rome for sure, and paddling on Big Cedar Creek is so much fun. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Rices Spring, and soar down the rapids of Johnnies Creek in a kayak.
