Do stop by Thompson Lake while you're in this part of Georgia. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Big Clouds Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Go for a hike on the Scull Shoals Trail; Pine Lake RV Campground is a great campground nearby. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Thompson Lake, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, usually in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter

you at Comfort Suites Athens. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Athens,Ga is a nice choice. Lakes? Sure, Benny Meyers Lake is close at hand. Thompson Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most while September is ordinarily the driest month.
