  There's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Thompson Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Thompson Lake. Stay the night at Chickasawhatchee Wildlife Management Area - West; Days Inn Blakely is a fine location to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Thompson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Spring Creek City Park. If you get bored of Thompson Lake, you could also go to nearby Windmill Pond. At Thompson
    Lake during the summer months highs are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Thompson Lake are in the 30's.
