Whitewater paddling is delightful on Snake River, and let's not forget Indian Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while here. Not far from Thomas Lake B, you'll hit upon Walker Lake which is a picturesque lake, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. | | CARROLLTON is a great choice. Thomas Lake B generally gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is October. So many amusing things to do here at Thomas Lake B, too perfect to be true. At Thomas Lake B Dam close to Thomas Lake B there are some exciting things to see, and if you came for an overnight stay Flat Rock Campground is a good site to camp. Whooping Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. During the summer months highs here at Thomas Lake B reach the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Thomas Lake B.

Whooping Creek
 | ...d a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking.
