A wonderful location to camp here at Thomas Lake is Lumpkin Campground; Thomas Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out. That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Thomas Lake has it all. Go for a hike on the Brookshire Creek Trail, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Settingdown Creek. The high level of rain makes                  Thomas Lake a reasonably wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. Reservoir Four is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and a round of golf at nearby Chestatee Golf Club is a good way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Amicalola Creek for all you adrenaline junkies; why not have a look at close by Black Mill Creek while you're here at Thomas Lake.
