Why not stop by Teasley Lake if you're passing through these parts. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Teasley Lake. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Toccoa is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and soar down the rapids of Big Panther Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. At Teasley Lake throughout the warm months highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime

Teasley Lake gets a lot of water; during the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Teasley Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Campground is a perfect local campground, and at North Fork Broad River Structure Six Dam next to Teasley Lake there | |

are some interesting things to see. Lakes are such calm sites, why not stop by Fulbright Pond close to Teasley Lake, and Pruitt Lake is a fine lake nearby. Take a side trip to Bear Creek; you'll probably meet some people from
Toccoa here. Get soaked paddling on Brasstown Creek, and Toccoa City Golf Course is a golf course close by. A good nearby hotel is Toccoa Days Inn. There's so much to do here at Teasley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Toccoa Rv Park & Campground is a great place for that.

Stonecypher Lake
 | ...nd Coe Branch. This lake is located on the farm lands of Palmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.
